Surfshark launches Bypasser feature on iOS, allowing Apple users seamless VPN flexibility
Surfshark continues to enhance user experience with the introduction of the Bypasser feature for iOS. This new tool allows you to configure specific sites or services to automatically bypass the VPN and use your standard internet connection. Bypasser enables you to manage your internet traffic by splitting it into two pathways: one that routes through the VPN for enhanced security and another that connects directly to the internet without encryption. This feature, previously launched on Windows, Android, and the Surfshark web extension, is now available for Apple iOS users.
Bypasser eliminates the need to manually disconnect the VPN to access IP-sensitive websites or services, such as online banking. Additionally, for situations where websites are having trouble loading or displaying content with a VPN, a Bypasser could be used to automatically skip the VPN connection. This feature ensures seamless access to trusted websites without the VPN and maintains robust protection for all other online activities.
“As digital landscapes become increasingly complex, ensuring both security and user convenience is crucial. With the introduction of Bypasser for iOS, we are giving our users the power to manage their internet connection with ease. This feature allows certain IP-sensitive websites and services to bypass the VPN, ensuring users can access these online destinations directly while maintaining security where it is most crucial,” said Justas Pukys, Senior Product Manager at Surfshark.
To use Bypasser on iOS, users should:
- Open the Surfshark app and click Settings on the left-hand side panel.
