Then P.1 emerged in later January 2021 in California and also in people traveling from Brazil. Similarly, a new strain was detected in the United Kingdom, from where it reached India; creating wreaking havoc. A new “double mutant” variant of the coronavirus has been identified from specimens secured in India. Administrators are investigating if the variant, where two mutations come together in the same virus. That can become more transmissible or less affected by vaccines.
